The Naphthalene Charge ESE is sold as a preloaded container with NO explosive charge or igniter. It is not a regulated explosive device.
This device is useful in movies, special effects, and other applications. The NC-ESE produces a loud audible effect along with a large orange flame and billowing black smoke when initiated.
IWA International is excited to be able to offer this naphthalene device in a preloaded form to customers who wish to complete assembly the device by adding a Mark-9 Electric Maroon, which is an Articles Pyrotechnic (UN 0431/DOT 1.4G) device for sale to professionals only under the IWA PPC Training Program. The purchaser of the device can complete the device with easy assembly requiring no special tooling.
IWA provides the Naphthalene Charge with a sealant glue and disk. The MK-9 is sold SEPARATELY to customers, “professional use only” restrictions apply.Please note that as sold, this does not constitute a “kit and/or component” salute device.
The purchasers who assemble this Naphthalene device must use the assembled devices in compliance with the applicable state and local regulations. Location of use must take into consideration potential fire hazards.
The Naphthalene Charge is a single loud report device. Function/Operation is via an electric igniter with instant ignition therefore required safety distances should already be met before operating the product.
The Naphthalene Charge is constructed from cardboard which is fractured producing a large orange flame, dense black smoke and a loud report when fired.

Should you wish to purchase a combination of Hazmat Devices, as per the order of the U.S. Department of Transportation (DOT), the following pyrotechnic devices may be shipped together, or in any combination thereof: M10 Ball Grenade Marking Device, M11 Multi Bang Device, M12 Distraction Device, M13 Thermobaric Device, M14 Smoke Deployment Device, M15 Smoke Grenade, Mk5 Thunderflash, Mk7 Thunderflash or Mk9 Diver Recall (each a “Hazmat Device,” collectively “Hazmat Devices”).
You may purchase multiple units of hazmat devices in one order and shipment; no more than 27 units per box. Should you wish to purchase more than 27 units of hazmat devices per order the system will automatically execute a second hazmat/shipping fee in accordance to U.S. Department of Transportation (DOT) and FedEx regulations. Should you wish to purchase a combination of Hazmat Device(s) with any Non-Hazmat Item(s), you must execute separate orders and shipments in accordance with these terms. Any transaction in violation of these order and shipment policies will not be authorized on the Site.
